Kate's 12th Birthday

Back to the iceskating rink - a special request from the Birthday Girl. A good way to cool off in Brisbane during summer too.

On the Move - North a bit!

Here are some pictures of our new place. We love having Blue Heron at the bottom of our garden. We live not far from the centre of Cleveland. There is a railway station nearby (out of hearing) and we can walk to the local Library. The Redland Libraries are very good too.

Our neighbours are great - retired couples on either side. One of them have given us two small kayaks to paddle around the canals and invited the children to use their pool anytime! Hamish has already had his first sleepover 3 doors along - he's a fast worker. There is ony 1 girl in the street and Kate has yet to meet her.

Can't wait to go exploring. Cleveland has a lighthouse which is about 2 k's away we think.

My birthday present: a ballon trip over Brisbane - followed by a champagne breaky. It was a fantastic day,

Hamish on his cousin Karls's new bike. Like he's ever going to be allowed one. Ha!



This chap came out across the road in front of us. The first time we have seen a Koala in the wild - well actually it was in Cleveland.

A new year and new adventures!

Hamish spent a weekend on Stradbroke Island. He was in a leadership camp for Surf Life Saving. When he got home on Sunday afternoon he went straight to bed at 3pm and we woke him for school at 7am the next day. It seems he enjoyed himself...

Kate has taken up the guitar and is keen to practise (oh our poor ears!!!)

Lindsay has flown to NZ to sort out our house as quick as possible - our lovely long term tenants have left. A good opportunity for a tidy up.
